Ingredients

  • Shrimp deveined and peeled – 1 pound (450 grams)
  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon 2.5 g
  • Black pepper freshly ground – 1/4 teaspoon (1 g)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves – 1 cup 30 grams
  • Garlic cloves – 2
  • Lime juice – 3 tablespoons 45 ml
  • Green chili optional – 1
  • Greek yogurt – 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Water – 2 tablespoons 30 ml

Instructions

  • Start by marinating the shrimp.
  • In a bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Mix until the shrimp are well-coated.
  • Let the shrimp marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the cilantro sauce.
  • For the sauce, combine cilantro, garlic, lime juice, green chili (if using), Greek yogurt, and water in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Preheat your grill over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, place the marinated shrimp on the grill.
  • Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes or until they become pink and slightly charred.
  • Remove the shrimp from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
