Ingredients

  • * 2 ripe bananas
  • * 1/2 cup natural almond butter 120g
  • * 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder approximately 60g
  • * 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 30g
  • * 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup 60ml
  • * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5ml
  • * 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • * Pinch of salt
  • * Optional: A handful of dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in almond butter, ensuring it blends well with the banana.
  • Mix in the chocolate protein powder and unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Add honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until it’s smooth.
  • Sprinkle baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix again.
  • If you're feeling indulgent, fold in those dark chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into a greased or lined 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking dish.
  • Pop it in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes. The top should feel set but slightly soft in the middle.
  • Once done, let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

1. Overripe bananas work best for a natural sweet taste.
2. Opt for high-quality protein powder for better flavor and nutrition.
3. Don’t overmix the batter, it can make the brownies dense.
4. For a moister brownie, consider baking for a slightly shorter duration.
5. Allow the brownies to fully cool before cutting. This helps them set and become fudgy.
