Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter: ½ cup 115 grams
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Protein powder chocolate flavor: ½ cup (50 grams)
  • All-purpose flour: 1 cup 125 grams
  • Baking powder: ½ teaspoon 2.5 grams
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: ¼ cup 25 grams
  • Sugar: ¾ cup 150 grams
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon 5 ml
  • Fresh cherries pitted: 1 cup (150 grams)
  • Salt: A pinch

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

Chocolate Mixture:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together.
  • Stir until it’s smooth.

Egg Mixture:

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes pale and fluffy.

Dry Ingredients:

  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, protein powder, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.

Combine:

  • Gradually fold the dry ingredient mixture into the egg mixture.
  • Once incorporated, gently fold in the melted chocolate-butter combo.

Add Cherries:

  • Stir in the pitted cherries.
  • Keep some cherries aside for garnishing later.

Bake:

Cool & Serve:
