  • Chicken breasts boneless & skinless: 2 large (about 500g [550 grams])
  • Buffalo hot sauce: 3/4 cup 180ml [180 milliliters]
  • Unsalted butter: 4 tbsp 60g [60 grams]
  • Garlic powder: 1 tsp 5g [5 grams]
  • Onion powder: 1 tsp 5g [5 grams]
  • Black pepper ground: 1/2 tsp (2.5g [2.5 grams])
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp 2.5g [2.5 grams]
  • Slider buns: 8
  • Romaine lettuce: 8 leaves
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing: as preferred

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine buffalo hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the buffalo sauce mixture ensuring it’s well coated.
  • Place the chicken breasts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the chicken in the oven for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Once cooked, remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Slice the chicken breasts into smaller pieces, fitting the size of your slider buns.
  • Slice open your slider buns and place a lettuce leaf on each.
  • Add the buffalo chicken slices on top.
  • Drizzle with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing.
  • Close the sliders with the top bun. Your Gameday Buffalo Chicken Sliders are ready!

Notes

TIPS:
  1. For an added crunch, consider adding thinly sliced celery to your sliders.
  2. The buffalo sauce can be spicy; adjust the quantity based on your heat preference.
  3. Always let the chicken rest a few minutes after cooking; it helps in retaining the juices.
  4. Opt for whole grain slider buns for a healthier option.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
  • Pair your Gameday Buffalo Chicken Sliders with a refreshing side salad or some carrot and celery sticks.
  • While these sliders pack a punch on their own, adding a side of baked sweet potato fries can elevate the whole experience.
  • For those who desire a creamier touch, serve with a side of coleslaw.
