Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a donut pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking powder, and sea salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, peanut butter, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Slowly incorporate the wet ingredients into the dry mix. Stir until just combined.
Carefully spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity three-quarters full.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
While the donuts are baking, prepare the frosting. Mix peanut butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and sea salt until smooth.
Once the donuts have cooled, spread the frosting over each one.
