Ingredients

  • - 1 cup of all-purpose flour 240ml
  • - 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder 30g
  • - 2 teaspoons of baking powder 10ml
  • - 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2.5ml
  • - 1 cup of strawberry milk 240ml
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter melted (30ml)
  • - 1/2 cup of chocolate chips 120ml
  • - Fresh strawberries for topping

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, vanilla protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Pour in the strawberry milk, ensuring the combination mixes well.
  • Crack open the egg and add it to the mix. Whisk it thoroughly.
  • Drizzle in the melted butter and fold it into the batter.
  • Sprinkle those delicious chocolate chips into the batter and gently fold them in.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
  • Once heated, scoop a ladleful of the pancake batter onto the skillet.
  • Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. You'll know it's time to flip when you see bubbles forming on the surface.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining batter.
  • Serve the pancakes hot, topped with fresh strawberries.

Notes

1. To ensure even distribution, mix chocolate chips by hand.
2. Avoid over-mixing the batter; it can make your pancakes dense.
3. If you're tracking your macros, measure the chocolate chips and strawberries precisely.
4. Use fresh baking powder for the fluffiest pancakes.
