Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets: 2 pieces about 6 oz each [170 grams]
  • Unsalted butter: 4 tablespoons 56 grams
  • Fresh dill: 1 tablespoon chopped
  • Fresh parsley: 1 tablespoon chopped
  • Lemon zest: 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Garlic cloves: 2 minced
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon 2.5 grams
  • Black pepper: ¼ teaspoon 0.5 grams

Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your grill to medium-high heat.
  • While the grill warms up, take a bowl and mix together butter, dill, parsley, lemon zest, half of the lemon juice, and minced garlic. This will be your herb butter.
  • Apply a light coating of olive oil on each salmon fillet.
  • Season the salmon with salt and black pepper.
  • Once the grill is ready, place the salmon fillets skin side down.
  • Grill the salmon for about 6 minutes per side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • A minute before removing the salmon from the grill, generously brush the Grilled Salmon with Herb Butter mixture.
  • Once grilled to perfection, take the salmon off the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Drizzle the remaining lemon juice on top for that extra zing.

Notes

  • Always choose fresh salmon fillets for the best flavor.
  • Grilled Salmon with Herb Butter tastes best when the herb butter is applied just before finishing grilling.
  • Monitor the salmon closely while grilling to avoid overcooking.
  • Remember, salmon continues to cook a bit after being taken off the grill due to residual heat.
