Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets: 2 pieces about 6 oz each [170 grams]
  • Unsalted butter: 4 tablespoons 56 grams
  • Fresh dill: 1 tablespoon chopped
  • Fresh parsley: 1 tablespoon chopped
  • Lemon zest: 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Garlic cloves: 2 minced
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons 30 ml
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon 2.5 grams
  • Black pepper: ¼ teaspoon 0.5 grams

Method

  1. Begin by preheating your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. While the grill warms up, take a bowl and mix together butter, dill, parsley, lemon zest, half of the lemon juice, and minced garlic. This will be your herb butter.
  3. Apply a light coating of olive oil on each salmon fillet.
  4. Season the salmon with salt and black pepper.
  5. Once the grill is ready, place the salmon fillets skin side down.
  6. Grill the salmon for about 6 minutes per side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. A minute before removing the salmon from the grill, generously brush the Grilled Salmon with Herb Butter mixture.
  8. Once grilled to perfection, take the salmon off the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  9. Drizzle the remaining lemon juice on top for that extra zing.

Notes

  • Always choose fresh salmon fillets for the best flavor.
  • Grilled Salmon with Herb Butter tastes best when the herb butter is applied just before finishing grilling.
  • Monitor the salmon closely while grilling to avoid overcooking.
  • Remember, salmon continues to cook a bit after being taken off the grill due to residual heat.
