Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rolled oats approx. 90g
  • 2 scoops Kasein protein powder vanilla flavor (approx. 60g)
  • ½ cup almond butter approx. 125ml
  • ¼ cup honey approx. 60ml
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk approx. 125ml
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips optional for added flavor (approx. 90g)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract approx. 5ml

Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Begin by lining an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, letting some excess hang over the sides for easy removal later.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine your rolled oats and Kasein protein powder.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the almond butter and honey together until they are easily mixed, usually about 30-45 seconds.
  • Pour the almond butter and honey mixture into the large mixing bowl with the oats and Kasein protein powder.
  • Slowly add in the almond milk and vanilla extract, mixing until a sticky dough forms. You can adjust the quantity of almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  • If you’ve opted for them, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly and pressing it down firmly.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt across the top.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours to let the Kasein Protein Bars set.
  • Once set, use the parchment paper to lift the set mixture out of the dish. Slice into 8 bars.

Notes

TIPS
  • To make the bars crunchier, you can toast the rolled oats in a pan for 4-5 minutes before mixing them with the Kasein protein powder.
  • Store your Kasein Protein Bars in the fridge to keep them fresh and firm.
  • For an extra touch of indulgence, you can melt some additional dark chocolate and drizzle it over the top before chilling.
  • Feel free to experiment with add-ins like dried fruit, seeds, or nuts to bring in additional flavors and textures.
