Ingredients

  • Chicken breast finely diced: 1 pound (450g)
  • Fresh garlic finely minced: 2 cloves (6g)
  • Zingy ginger minced: 1 tablespoon (6g)
  • Low-sodium soy sauce for that salty tang: 2 tablespoons 30ml
  • Rich sesame oil: 1 tablespoon 15ml
  • Chili flakes for a kick: 1 teaspoon 2g
  • FOR THE FRESH LETTUCE WRAPS:
  • Crisp lettuce leaves any kind you love: 8 (400g)
  • Spring onions thinly sliced: 4 (60g)
  • Fresh cilantro roughly chopped: 2 tablespoons (30g)
  • Almonds lightly toasted and slivered: 2 tablespoons (15g)

Instructions

  • Get That Chicken Cooking: Warm up that sesame oil in your favorite pan, toss in the chicken, garlic, and ginger, and cook ’til it’s lovely and golden brown. About 5-6 minutes should do.
  • Flavor Bomb: Add that soy sauce and chili flakes, and let it all mingle for 2-3 minutes. Your kitchen’s gonna smell amazing!
  • Wrap Time: Grab a lettuce leaf, spoon on some of that incredible chicken mixture, and sprinkle with onions, cilantro, and almonds.

Notes

Iceberg or butter lettuce works like a charm.
Want it spicier? You know what to do – more chili flakes!
Meal prep? Sure thing. Make the chicken ahead and heat when ready.
